The past few weeks have been a whirwind of travel paperwork, packing lists, immunizations, and emotional roller coasters! What a month it's been for each one of us as we prepare to meet the precious angel we've been praying for these long 28 months. I never imagined all the feelings that would come along with this final stage of waiting, and I think I now officially have bought stock in Kleenex tissues!
The reality that we're THIS close is finally sinking in, especially when I walk past three suitcases full of everything you can imagine for the trip in our bedroom! It's all so surreal at times......and yet I know this is all going to happen in the blink of an eye.
So many of you have been asking me WHY we're still waiting. Well, we have ONE more approval to go. Travel Approval. But that's the last approval we need (did I hear a Hallelujah?), and then we will REALLY be on our way! Travel Approval usually comes in about 4-6 weeks from the time the Letter of Approval arrives, and it's been a little over 4 weeks since ours came. AND, our agency believes our Travel Approval may even be on it's way THIS week!
After our Travel Approval arrives, our agency will set up an appointment at the American Consulate in Guangzhou (the last city we will visit) for us. From that appointment, we will know the date we can leave the US! Our agency is still predicting that we will leave in March, so it looks like everything is still going as planned:)
Of course, all of you will know as soon as we do when our Travel Approval arrives and what the dates of our trip will be! And our good old laptop will come with us to China, so we'll be able to update our blog with pictures and stories for the two weeks we're away. So stay tuned......things are about to get even more exciting around here!

it will probably come today because i'm not thinking about it as i am having a horrible day. this is the 2nd unexpected trip to the doctors in 24 hours...and i expect it to be the 2nd antibiox prescribed. to top that off i think sha sha's ear tube might have come out this morning.
of course, in my emotional state i've gotten doctor appts fast. it's amazing what opens up when you almost cry and say, "but we are going to be in China then"
I can't wait to see the pictures and hear your stories while your over there!
We're all ears as we wait to hear the good news. Can't wait to see those bikini photos. LOL!
