We recieved an urgent prayer request across our adoption agency's message board yesterday about a family who arrived in China to adopt their daughter, Susannah, only to find her gravely ill. Little Susannah was born with cleft lip and palate, but also with a heart condition that has caused her to go into heart failure. Her family apparently flew to China without even being aware that their precious girl was in the hospital. When they woke up for "gotcha" day, they were given the news about Susannah. Her condition is very grave and the condition of the hospital is very poor. Susannah's family is praying that her health will improve enough so that she can be safely flown to the US, and also that her visa is expedited so that they're even allowed to bring her home. For all of us waiting for our children, this is is a scenario we know can happen but pray never will. It's possible that our little ones can become gravely ill and even hospitalized without us ever knowing. Please begin praying for Susannah and her family. You can follow along with their story HERE
