The Sights in Guangzhou

Last night, Daddy and Peanut took a boat ride around Pearl Lake and took some beautiful pictures of Guangzhou. Peanut loved the boat ride and really enjoyed having some one on one time with Daddy.

This is one of the many unusual trees we see around town. We have no idea what kind of tree it is, but they're everywhere we go.

Peanut decided he wanted to jump in the bath with SuSu yesterday, and they both giggled and giggled with each other. All in all, I think they're doing so well with each other, and we haven't noticed much jealousy between the two of them. Of course, we won't have Nana living with us at home, so I'm sure things might change when we get back from China:)

Yesterday we took SuSu to the park after the medical exam, and she was so excited about the slides. She must have gone down that same slide 100 times! It was so neat to see her discover that Daddy isn't so scary after all when she realized he was going to catch her when she came down the slides.

Today was the consulate appointment, which we actually didn't need to go to. Our guide here in Guangzhou went for us and represented us there, and we found out that our paperwork went through with flying colors! Tommorrow we'll go to the consulate as a family and take an oath that we'll care for our Maia. Then, on Thursday, we make the long trip back home!
