We're trying to squeeze in as much FUN as we can into these last few days of summer vacation! Peanut brought home this "treasure" from the creek last week:) His crayfish is now living out back in our baby pool....
SuSu had her first experience on the teeter totter at Strasburg, and still isn't quite sure she likes it.
The swings are more her speed.
The kiddos loved lining up walnuts on the train tracks and then watching the train smash them into a million pieces when it went by.
Peanut is fascinated with the cicadas out in our back yard right now, and we finally spotted one way up in our maple tree!
Just a few days ago our sedum flowers started turning pink....another sure sign that fall is on it's way:)
And somehow we have corn growing down beside our butterfly bush this summer! The only thing we can think is that a little bit of the corn kernels from our bird feeder started a sprout in the ground there. I'm so anxious to see if there's really corn underneath the tassle that's sprouting up!
Tonight is "Meet The Teacher Nite" at Peanut's school, and then we start 1st grade next Tuesday! I can hardly believe how much faster the times flies by with two!

time just moves WAY too fast doesn't it?!
I found your blog through Flamingo Mama, and loved reading the story of SuSu and hearing about Peanut!!! They do grow too fast.
This is a great post - love the photos. That's so cool about the corn! I hope it sprouts some ears!
