A Walk Down Memory Lane.....

It's almost impossible to imagine that it was a year ago today that we were in Beijing! It really feels like it was a lifetime ago that we traveled around the world to welcome our SuSu into our family. So much has happened in these past 12 months. So much has changed! Just reading back through my old posts from our trip gives me goose bumps. Did we fly almost 14 hours together and survive?? Did we really climb the Great Wall?? It's good I took pictures because it almost seems surreal thinking about it now:)

And to think, that while we were hopping on and off tour buses in Beijing, another big miracle was happening back home on this very day, too. Just about 24 hours after we landed in China, my sister gave birth to her second baby boy, Sammy. Wow.... those were some exciting times in our family!!





This week I've been taking a lot of time looking back through pictures and remembering those days leading up to us meeting SuSu for the first time. What an amazing time of our lives that was! What an answer to prayer that journey was and continues to be. How many dreams came true in those few days, both for me and for my sister, who also waited so very long for her children. I never want to lose sight of how truly blessed we are to be where we are today. To be tucking two little ones into bed every nite. To be packing two little bookbags for school in the morning. To be picking out enough candy for two Easter baskets instead of one.

In the midst of the hustle and bustle of everything in our everyday lives, it was so good to look back. To take a walk down memory lane. If you have a chance, you can walk down that lane with me here to remember how it all began.....one year ago today!
