A Thyroid, A Heart Cath and A Partridge in a Pear Tree

Today's post is all about a little bit of everything:) First I wanted to share that my dad came through his heart cath yesterday well, although the cardiologist did find another blockage. Thankfully, they were able to place a heart stent and dad should be coming home today. Our prayer was that he wouldn't need to face another open heart surgery, and God was very gracious in allowing the blockage to be fixed during the heart cath.

My next little tidbit is about the parathyroid blood work I've been waiting on. We found out that my parathyroid labs came back okay, so the doctor feels the growth on my ultrasound isn't a parathyroid tumor. We're very happy to know that, but we're still not sure what this "growth" might be. Now we're waiting for my family doctor to get some more detailed information from the radiologist about this "growth" to decide what to do next. We just pray it's another benign "nodule" and nothing more because they're very common and often harmless. Please pray for wisdom for the doctors and for us as we're anxious to have an answer sooner rather than later to our questions!

In the midst of all that's been happening during the past few days, M and I feel so blessed by the prayers and encouragement from our friends and family. We feel so uplifted and at peace in spite of the very uncertain circumstances in our lives. Now, more than ever, we're learning what walking in faith really means! We know God is teaching us to lean on Him, to trust Him in the unknown, and to walk in faith where He's leading us. As much as I wish this journey could be easier, I know our faith is surely growing........and faith is what it's all about:) Thank you to everyone who's been praying for us. We value your prayers more than you know!
