Sometimes I wonder if our little SuSu should have rather had the nickname "our little Tornado"! She is busy, busy, busy, all day long, from 7 in the morning 'til 8 at nite! And she's always hamming it up for us on her adventures throughout the day:) As soon as breakfast was over, we already had all our coloring books and crayons out and talking about when we could go outside. Mommy is definately not a morning person, so this has been a HUGE adjustment for me to be up and running so early! Peanut is much more low key first thing after he wakes up, so Mommy was used to easing into the day a bit. So much for easing into anything now!
SuSu seems to coming out of her shell more and more as the weeks go by! She's chattering non-stop these days, mostly in Chinese, but sometimes in English, too. And yesterday, she said her first English sentance "Tristan go to school". WOW!! We can't believe how much she understands, and I know it won't be long before she's speaking mostly English. We have some fun Chinese videos for kids that SuSu really enjoys, but I'm afraid she's going to lose her language quickly now.
Today will be my second day back to work, although just for a few hours this time. She and Daddy are really bonding, and I can see such a dramatic difference in how she responds to him compared to just a month ago! It really is amazing how quickly she's learned to love and trust us all in such a short while. Some days we still wonder if she REALLY lived in an orphanage for four years because she's so loving and eager to be held and snuggled:) I have to think that she must have gotten lots of love from someone, somewhere!
