Last summer, Prince Charming saw these beautiful sunflowers at a friends' house, and was so excited about them that he promised me he would find them this year and plant them in our gardens. Knowing how much I love new flowers, he surprised me by planting them in pots in the attic and then moving them outside after I came home from the hospital.
Not only are these sunflowers beautiful, they have an added special feature. They attract yellow finches!
Prince Charming kept promising me that eventually yellow finches would find our gardens because they love, love, love these sunflowers. I didn't quite know if this was believable......until.......
Look what appeared last week in our yard! Yellow finches!!
